Recital 2022 – Nightmare on Brooks Street – General Information
Recital is not required for recreational classes. Competitive athletes and pre-team athletes are required. Athletes who do not sign up for recital will still have class and work on their normal skills!
Location: Brooks Street next to Roscommon Gym (111 N Fifth St, Roscommon, MI)
Date: May 21st/22nd – Please block the entire weekend. Recital is outdoors, and the day will be chosen and announced the weekend before (May 14th) according to weather. Costumes can be viewed in your parent portal.
Recital Fees: $30 unlimited family tickets (outdoor), $50 uniform ($80 total)
Dress Rehearsal: 10am
Seating & Vendors: 2-3pm (you must bring your own seating)

Login and scroll down to online store. You need to purchase the recital registration (which covers your unlimited family tickets).
Registration for these events will close March 1st. No late additions will be accepted. Team and pre-team members that have not opted in will be charged the total as well as a $15 late fee after the due date.
Costume fees will be posted March 1st.
Group photos in recital costumes will be during dress rehearsal. No individual photos will be taken at this time. Team photos are included in recital fee.
Individual Chalk Photos (optional):
$40 per athlete – digital downloads of all shots
10 minute time slot – must be reserved online. These photos can be booked online via the parent portal. Simply login, scroll down, and click “book private lesson.”
Color will be chosen upon arrival.
Leo could be dyed from chalk so choose outfit wisely (no recital uniforms or competitive attire).
You may only book for the following dates in each location:
April 9th – Roscommon
April 10th – Gaylord
Your appointment time may change depending on other appointment times.
Last day to book your appointment is April 1st.
Fundraisers & Vendors
During seating (2-3pm on recital day) all the vendors and fundraisers will be active! Please utilize this opportunity to support our competitive teams! Bring cash! Vendors will be located in the street and in front of the gym.
Raffle Tickets: Tickets are $10 and will be pre-sold as well as sold during this time by competitive teams.
Prizes for raffle tickets are based on tickets sold. If all tickets are sold, there will be higher prizes. There will be 8 drawings before the show begins. The first 4 drawings will be for $100 and the fifth drawing will be $300. The last 3 drawings will be for a leotard! Prizes will rise as quantity of tickets sold increase. Recreational kids are also welcome to pre-sell tickets to help the Booster Club earn money!
Bake Sale: The bake sale will be provided by our competitive teams. It will be by donation, and all proceeds will go towards their competitive fees.

Flower Bouquet Sales:
$25 per bouquet. Proceeds go towards the Booster Club for competitive athletes and scholarships. Pre-orders can be done via the parent portal. Login and scroll down to find your online store!
Bouquets will be for sale at the event as well.
Recital shirts are pre-order only and are $20 each. Order form is located in the parent portal in the online store. $5 for each garment will go towards the Booster Club. Order must be in by May 1st.
We need businesses to sponsor our program! If you wish to sponsor, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your business logo. It is $100 to get your logo on the program. Our recital is expected to have at least 500 spectators this year! $25 of your donation will go our Booster Club for scholarship opportunities for athletes in need! Checks will be paid to Skye High Booster Club. You will receive a receipt via email with the tax ID number.
Team & Pre-Team Commitment
Fundraising at recital is a REQUIREMENT of competitive teams and pre-teams. Opt-out fees are listed under each category.
Raffle Tickets: Each team member must sell a minimum of 10 tickets by recital. The first 10 tickets sold will cover the cost of the license and prizes. Anything over 10 tickets will award the seller $5 per ticket toward fees. The additional money from tickets will go toward the Booster Club to cover costs and fundraise money for equipment and scholarships. Opt-out fee is $100 (you might as well just buy ten tickets).
Flower Bouquets: Team members will wrap the bouquets together at a designated time before recital day. All team members need to participate to receive earnings towards competition fees. Opt-out fee is $30.
Bake Sale: We need two parents to organize sign-ups for this event. Please contact Emily if you’re interested. Team members must bring an item. It can be store bought, baked, or a beverage to sell (bottled waters, etc.). Bake sale items will be by donation, and all money will go towards competition fees for all competitive athletes. Opt-out fee is $50.
Opt-Out fees need to be paid by March 1st.
